PRESENTATION SUMMARY:
In this program, attendees will explore the attitudinal underpinnings of mindfulness, and will be introduced to various mindful meditation practices and exercises via experiential learning.
Program Objectives:
- Provide an overview of the Mindfulness-Stress Reduction program (MBSR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC).
- Practice selected mindful meditation exercises from the MBSR program, and practice selected exercises from the MSC program.
- At the completion of the workshop, attendees will be equipped to create a customized plan for mindful self-care based on the “menu” of mindfulness practices they will be practicing throughout the workshop.
